MBBS is an undergraduate course leading to a graduation degree; thus any students who has completed class 12 in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects, can apply for this course.Apart from MBBS, there can be many other courses to study in a medical college. Most of the medical colleges in India also provide Post Graduate courses in various subjects. These are either Master of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) in various subjects. A medical college offers graduate degree Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Only institutions offering MBBS course in its curriculum are referred to as a Medical Colleges
