All Medical colleges in India are accredited to provide Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course, which enables a student to practice medicine in India. MBBS is an undergraduate course leading to a graduation degree; thus any students who has completed class 12 in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects, can apply for this course.Apart from MBBS, there can be many other courses to study in a medical college. Most of the medical colleges in India also provide Post Graduate courses in various subjects. These are either Master of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) in various subjects.
